Blended Learning Initiative
By learning how to properly navigate technology, students can be able to take full advantage of the the learning opportunities and pathways provided while taking ownership of their learning. Incorporating technology and quality direct teaching, creates the ideal environment for successful blended learning and customization of learning for all students. Using the resources already available to students will allow them to learn how to make the most of the educational experience, and allow educators to learn new opportunities for new teaching methodologies.

This initiative strives to intentional integrate modern teaching methods to promote ownership of learning for students. By restructuring the curriculum delivery alongside Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) requirements, the pilot initiative seeks to leverage Cypress-Fairbanks's one-to-one district status and District of Innovation designation to implement new digital platforms that encourage students to actively share their learning experiences.
This review provides resources used to advocate for blended learning and the integration of technology in education. It explains how special populations, multimedia, and student collaboration join forces to to create blended learning in the classroom. In addition, it highlights the need for proper training of educators and explains how professional development can help facilitate learning, when embedding technology throughout the curriculum.


The implementation outline serves as an theoretical timeline for completion of the innovation. Each phases includes the projected steps that will be taken to fulfill the set proposed innovation plan.
